Purchase of digital materials for schools »

The teacher/head user can order Otava’s digital materials (digital teaching materials, digital books, assignments and tests) via Kirjavälitys’ Kouluväylä or from the Otava online store. The purchased materials will be available for use in the Opepalvelu within a few days of the purchase. When necessary you can ask for your school’s username and password from Otava customer service.


’Yhden käyttäjän lisenssi’ – student licence, one licence per pupil/student, eg 25 licences for a class.

’Koululisenssi opettajille’ – school licence for teachers, one licence per school as it covers all teachers.


Placing orders using an e-invoice »

Schools can order products from the Otava online store using e-invoicing. You will need your school’s or your municipality’s e-invoice address in order to complete orders. Private consumers cannot order products with an invoice.


Return policy for upper secondary school digital books »

Upper secondary school digital books can be returned within 14 days of purchase if the product has not been activated. Please contact the digital book’s supplier if you want to return a digital book that has not been activated. Requests concerning the return of digital books purchased from Otava online store should be addressed to our eHelpdesk: Tel. +358 10 345 1550 (Mon–Fri 7.30–20.30).


Username and password »

All educational institutions added to Otava customer register have a username and password to the online store. The educational institution will pay for any orders made when the institution is logged in with its username and password. Usernames and passwords have been sent to the educational institutions’ principals and/or school secretaries. If your school’s username and password have gone missing, please contact Otava customer service.


Cancelling an incorrect order »

If you have placed your order in the Otava online store and it needs to be corrected, please contact our customer service. You will also need the order confirmation you have been sent via email. If the order has been placed via Kirjavälitys or some other bookstore, please contact the supplier.


Notify Me function in Otava online store »

Otava online store includes a Notify Me function which can be used by all registered customers. When a product you are interested in has not yet been published you can add it in the Notify Me list. Log into the online store and tick ‘Notify Me’ and you will get an email when the product is available for order. When you log into the online store the product will be ready in your shopping cart.
